About

Canadian National Railway (CN) plays a vital role in Wisconsin’s freight transportation network, operating 988 miles of railroad track across the state and employing approximately 1,197 Wisconsin-based workers.  CN and its predecessors have been a partner to multiple industries and communities we serve providing an avenue of economic growth in Wisconsin since the 1870s.

CN’s operations connect key Wisconsin regions—including Green Bay, Neenah, Fond du Lac, Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids, Chippewa Falls, and Superiors—to its broader North American network that connects the east and west coasts of Canada with the Gulf of America coast.   The CN supports efficient, reliable rail service for forest products, agriculture, manufacturing, energy, and other industries critical to support the economy and modern life in 2025.
