The Community First Fox Cities Marathon Presented by Miron Construction is recruiting people to join the Kwik Trip Volunteer Squad to help power its three-day event. More than 1,600 essential roles are needed to keep every part of this event running smoothly. Those interested in being a part of this iconic celebration of local pride, competitive running and shared connection are encouraged to visit foxcitiesmarathon.org/volunteer for more information and to secure their spot.
"Our volunteers are the heartbeat of race weekend. From the starting line to the finish, they welcome participants, cheer on families and bring our community together in a way nobody else can. We simply cannot do this without them," said Julie Johnson, race director.
Volunteers support thousands of runners and walkers from across the country. Positions vary in activity levels and include both indoor and outdoor tasks and no experience is necessary. Volunteers can sign up individually for a single day or across multiple days of the race weekend. Adults and teens are encouraged to participate, and volunteer hours can count towards community service hour requirements. The event’s net proceeds support community service projects and local nonprofits in the Fox Cities.
Available positions include:
· Health & Wellness Expo set up
· Saturday and Sunday course marshals (guide and cheer on participants; help spectators and neighbors)
· Water station helpers
All volunteers will receive a free T-shirt and a chance to win a prize during the Kwik Trip Virtual Volunteer Party.
