Slick Mimic’s Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting

Slick Mimic’s, Appleton’s friendly local board and card game store, is excited to announce their grand opening celebration on Friday, October 10, 2025. Festivities kick off at 12:00 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a day of fun, raffles, and light snacks.

Formerly known as Boardlandia, the store was recently purchased by longtime employee Mandy Sternhagen and her husband, Jeremy Sternhagen. With the rebrand to Slick Mimic’s, the couple is keeping everything customers already know and love—friendly staff, an amazing selection of board and card games, and a welcoming play space—while adding their own community-focused vision.

Everyone is invited to stop in throughout the day to celebrate, explore the space, and discover the new Slick Mimic’s.
